What to do when you are sequestered? DIY!

Without being able to spend normal time outside or with family and friends i have been focusing all of my angst induced energy on some diy projects around the house. I am not a craftsman at all. However being creative and having an eye for detail does help with the interior design and finishing.

Laundry Room:

Before. We inherited a large and cumbersome space when we bought this home in Burien, Washington. The cupboards were cheap board construction and 40 inches deep and tall; impossible to grab anything in the back or off the top shelf.

After, We pulled down the shelves, did the mudding and taping repair to prep the wall. Then we bought this wonderful wall paper from a site in the UK and painted the wall. After some long and frustrating searching for shelving that would look good in our Mid Century Modern home and be practical we found these open shelves on Pottery Barn and now we love our laundry. It makes me happy to go do wash (which i don’t really do that much. Ha. But my wife loves it too.
