Nature and the outdoors are a consistent theme in my work. I grew up in Idaho surrounded by mountains, lakes and tall pines. My summers were camping, hiking and exploring the local and far reaches of the Mountain West. I now live in the Pacific Northwest and work in the outdoor industry; my passion continues to be tied to the restorative nature of the outdoors and grounded in the plants, animals and beauty i experience there. I paint what i see in my minds eye to capture the emotion of the moment not as a literal translation.
